If you lived in severe poverty all your life in a third world country but tomorrow you would able to leave poverty behind because you were going inherit $100 million from a distant relative, would you not be full of joy as you anticipate receiving this life-changing gift? Or what if you had a fatal disease with only a short time to live but your doctor just called and said that a guaranteed cure was discovered and you were going to receive it tomorrow, wouldn't your anticipation of being cured produce such joy in you? Though we must live in the often disappointing life of the "now", by daily reviewing God's promises to us in His Word, and choosing to live in anticipation of the "then" we will live in a state of perpetual joy knowing the best is yet to come!
