The future of our human rights: 1776 or 1984?


I have been focusing on writing about issues concerning physical and spiritual health. As important as it is to have a healthy body, soul and spirit, it is also important to have a healthy worldview concerning the origin of our rights as humans. Therefore this article is written, not to gain popularity but to provoke thought.

Human rights are basically moral rights and in order to understand what those rights are and what their future may be we have to understand where they come from and to do that let's consider the following fundamental question. Are human rights the changeable preferences of humanity or the objective, and permanent gifts from our Creator?


The origin of our human rights

Ultimately, the concept of human rights is tied to the origins of humanity itself. If humanity is just the product of a random, purposeless, and naturalistic evolutionary process then it logically follows that human rights are no more than subjective preferences to be given or taken away by the majority in power.

However, another view (as indicated in our nation's Declaration of Independence and all fifty state constitutions) is that our rights are permanently given to us by God. America's Founding Fathers were surely not all Christian but they generally held to the biblical concept of God as revealed in such New Testament passages as Acts 17:26-28 and as Creator our rights find their source in Him. Therefore a government's chief role is to protect these rights from anyone, foreign or domestic seeking to take them away.

Author Frank Turek, in a recent online article entitled Atheists Steal Rights From God said, "If God does exist, then objective moral rights exist. But those rights clearly don't include cutting up babies in the womb, same-sex marriage, and their other invented absolutes contrary to every major religion and natural law...In other words, no matter what side of the political aisle you're on, no matter how passionate you believe in certain causes or rights, without God they aren't really rights at all".

Now contrary to what some Christians and non-Christians believe, another human right we have from birth is free will, the freedom to choose our behavior. Now a person should be free to choose what they eat, smoke, drink or who they have a relationship with even if such activities are stupid or will harm them, without being jailed or fined, so long as the person is not harming another person's life or property in the process. In other words, God gave us the freedom to make stupid behavior choices (i.e. smoking, homosexuality, adultery etc)  and we should tolerate  people who have lifestyles we don't necessarily agree with, again granted that they are not physically harming us or our property. However, government doesn't have the God-given right or Constitutional authority to be promoting or favoring (through legislation) one lifestyle choice or behavior to the detriment of others, but rather it should remain neutral in such things. The government has no business being a Nanny State trying to protect us from ourselves, instead it should just should obey its constitutional mandates of providing a sound currency and protecting our God-given rights from foreign or domestic threats. God has granted us individual rights, not group rights. As humans we are created in God's image (i.e His moral and spiritual character) and our human rights are a reflection of that which is why we don't have a natural right to murder, rape, steal, treat our neighbor unjustly etc or to expect government to define our behavior choices as "natural rights" that are in reality unnatural rights  because they were not originally given to us by God. Mr. Turek also made the statement, "An atheist might say, In our country, we have a constitution that the majority approved. We have no need to appeal to God." True, you don't have to appeal to God to write laws, but you do have to appeal to God if you want to ground them in anything other than human opinion". Those holding to an atheistic worldview may know human rights exist but they cannot justify them without an absolute/supernatural moral standard.


Implications for the future

William Penn, an historic defender of liberty once said, "Those people who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants." Why? Because without God there can be no unalienable rights, only alienable privileges that the majority or dictator can remove at whim which is exactly what United Nations/New World Order globalists want. In fact the UN's "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" doesn't acknowledge the Creator but declares human rights are granted by government laws or decrees, are subject to the wishes of the "community" and cannot contradict the purposes of the UN (see Articles 8 & 29).

Any society seeking to forget where fundamental human rights come from (i.e. God) and instead rely on their government to invent "rights" for them is heading in an unhealthy direction which will have dangerous implications for the future as nightmarishly illustrated by George Orwell's famous book, 1984. As it has been said, "A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have." Sadly, Nazi Germany and Communist Russia are examples of such governments and unless we learn from this sad history we will inevitably repeat such history. Many people say, "this could never happen in America but IF we do not learn from history, it's not a question of if it will happen in America, but when.

America's Declaration of Independence in part says: "When a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism [i,e, tyranny], it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security [i.e. the protection of their God-given rights]."  It is clear that our nation's forefathers were not declaring independence from God but independence from overbearing, corrupt government that was trying to distort or hinder rights given by Him. When a society willingly forgets that human rights are a permanent gift from the Creator, the people (as a whole) will not believe it is their right or duty to see that those rights are protected and preserved and thus they will be conquered and enslaved.

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, the late Russian novelist, historian, and critic of Soviet communist tyranny who lived through that dark period once said, "If I were asked today to formulate as concisely as possible the main cause of the ruinous Revolution that swallowed up some sixty million of our people, I could not put it more accurately than to repeat: Men have forgotten God; that's why all this has happened." 


The bottom line is that when it comes to our fundamental rights as human beings: the future of those rights by and large depends on whether we (especially in our own country of America) remember the origin of those rights.

Vegan "Mac and Cheese"

DIRECTIONS/PROCESS


(Ingredients):
Organic pasta (shells)
Nutritional yeast
Coconut oil
Pink/unrefined sea salt (optional)

1. Fill pot with water (the amount of water depends on how much pasta you are cooking)
2. Place the cover on the pot and bring water to a boil
3. Put a pinch of sea salt in water so that the pasta doesn't stick together
4. After the water is boiling, place pasta in pot 
5. Cook for 10-12 minutes (depending on how tender you want it)
6. Drain the water out
7. Stir in two tablespoons for nutritional yeast
8. Stir in one tablespoon of coconut oil
9. Pink sea salt (optional)

Simple ways to protect yourself from the harmful effects of radiation exposure from today's electronics


To say we live in a technological age may be an understatement. Much of our electronic gadgets today can be very helpful and convenient.

However there's a downside to all of this technology and it is this: our bodies are being exposed to harmful radiation at an alarming rate and unless we take measures TODAY to limit and/or reverse the damage our bodies are experiencing as a result of this especially in or near major cities in our nation, there could be very expensive consequences to face down the road.


Some possible health problems associated with exposure to electronic devices such as a microwave, cell phone, computer, Ipad, Kindle etc:

What can be done?

Well, it's not possible to completely avoid electromagnetic radiation even if you moved to a secluded island or you threw out your LCD TV, computer and cell phone tomorrow. You are still exposed to radiation from electromagnetic radiation especially if you have to use electronic devices for work or school, from WiFi signals coming from your neighbor's house, your public library, contaminated environment from radiation leakage from a power plant, cell phone towers near your home, wifi on the trains and buses and many more possibilities.

We cannot completely avoid exposure to electromagnetic signals as it's all around us especially in major cities in our country and even possibly emanating from our technology in space beaming down to Earth. But here are some proactive things we can do.


Some steps we can take TODAY that can reverse its harmful effects on us:


  1. avoid or limit your time spent at a library or restaurant that offers free wifi
  2. get a anti-glare/radiation screen filter for your computer or cell phone

RAW BURRITO

Directions/process


For this recipe you will need:
A high speed blender or food processor, bowls to mix in, a sharp small knife.

Ingredients: 
-Large Collard Leaves, washed and devined
-seasoned cauliflower rice 
-avocado spread
-alfalfa sprouts 
-sliced carrots
-sliced sweet peppers (yellow, red, orange)

1. After washing collards, pat dry with napkin or cloth. With a knife, remove stem. 
2. Take avocado and spread a layer on the collards. 
3. Place the cauliflower rice on top.
4. Add peppers, carrots, and alfalfa sprouts. 
5. Wrap your "burrito"... It is not as difficult as it seems. Wrap the bottom facing you (where you devined the collard) in first. Then take the right flap and Fold it on top of the bottom part you just folded. Take the left flap and fold it on top. Make sure you fold it firm and tight so that it stays together. Make sure you fold it firm and tight so that it stays together. Fold the top flap on top of the two sides you just folded. All four sides should be folded. Lastly, flip your burrito and slice down the middle. Your burrito is ready! 

Cauliflower rice:
-1 large head of cauliflower 
-12 cherry tomatoes; halved 
-1/4 piece chopped red onion 
-1/2 lime worth of juice
-1/2 tsp flax oil 
-1 tbsp spices (I used Mrs.Dash extra spicy)
-chopped bunch of cilantro (about 10 stands)
-1tbsp dried basil 
-3 scallions chopped
-1 tsp pink Himalayan salt (or celery/ Celtic sea salt)

Avocado Sauce:
-1 ripe Hass avocado 
-1 tbsp Mrs. Dash extra spicy spice blend (or spices of your choice) 
-1 clove of mashed garlic
-Juice from Half of a lemon.
-Pure/pink sea salt to taste (optional)

1. wash and cut cauliflower into florets and discard the bottom green part.
2. Place cauliflower in your high speed blender or food processor until it is crushed into a rice like texture. 
3. Mix in your other ingredients and set aside.

Is there poison on your plate disguised as food?

Would you knowingly eat rat poison or drink gasoline? Obviously not, because those things will harm and perhaps even kill you. Yet many people today are consuming the poisonous foods I list in this article without giving it a second thought. They are doing this because they've been successfully deceived by the media, the culture or family traditions into thinking that these ingredients don't require a second look.
Regardless of the reason, the "garbage in garbage out" principle is still true. The illnesses that people you know and love suffer from are just the result of their body being fed this garbage. Prevention is still the best medicine. Therefore, the way we achieve the health and healing that the body was designed for is to prevent this junk food garbage from going in our body in the first place; then we won't have to deal with the garbage coming out (in the form of disease, etc).

 

All food is NOT created equal

One of the popular yet toxic foods is caffeine. Coffee is fine, but the caffeine is the problem. Why is caffeine so toxic? Research shows that caffeine is one of the toxic chemicals produced by some plants as a defense mechanism against being eaten or disturbed. In fact, these chemicals (of which, caffeine is one) work to produce neurological damage in plant-eating animals. Yet, companies harvest and package this addictive chemical as an ingredient in various foods and sell it to the public. But if it can promote neurological damage in animals, just imagine what it's doing to humans over the long term. Herbal coffee (i.e. real coffee) like Ayurvedic Roast and herbal tea are healthier alternatives.
White table salt and white sugar are some more toxic ingredients. Consuming these can weaken the immune system's defense against a cold or flu as well as lead to type 2 diabetes, arthritis, obesity, emotional problems, tooth decay, dehydration, kidney failure, hypertension, heart disease, cancer, etc. If the ingredients label just says "salt," "sugar" or "evaporated cane juice," it's safe to assume that it's the processed kind. Now the body does need salt, but it needs the natural, unprocessed salt (still containing its trace minerals) which is pink in color. A source of healthy natural sugar (which the body also needs) comes from fruit and vegetables (preferably organic). Stevia, xylitolraw coconut sugar or raw coconut nectar are healthier sugar substitutes as well.
Consuming processed grains such as white flour, white rice and packaged cereals can contribute to heart disease, abdominal fat, constipation and more. Look for sprouted and whole grains (quinoa, brown rice, etc). In addition, numerous studies like the China Study show that consumption of dairy and excessive animal products has contributed to physical problems like cancer, osteoporosis, heart disease, obesity and more.
Due to space constraints for this article, I can only mention one more category of poison foods: genetically modified (GM) foods. This is a broad topic, but suffice it to say that studies show a strong link associating the consumption of GM crops (e.g. corn, soy, alfalfa) and the animals that eat these crops with the rise of allergies, pregnancy complications, reduced fertility in humans and more. In addition, evidence shows that some GMOs produce their own built-in pesticides which have caused health problems in laboratory animals. Unless the food/ingredient is non-GMO-verified or organic, it may be a GM food.

Your responsibility

Though they should, ultimately it's not the job of the food industry to warn consumers of the dangers of toxic food/ingredients; it's your responsibility. Read the ingredients labels, and get informed so you can avoid the toxins that will put you on a path away from optimal health.

Little Vegan Pizzas

Directions/process

1. For this recipe I used sprouted buns (Ezekiel 4:9 brand) but you can also use their sprouted English muffins also.
2. I topped the buns with these organic ingredients: plain tomato sauce, shredded broccoli, shredded carrots, leafy greens, peppers (diced),onions (diced), mushrooms. I used "non GMO project verified" vegan mozzarella cheese. You may use Dr. Cow's Tree Nut Cheese or you may make your own if you find a suitable recipe. I would avoid any vegan cheese that is not labeled "non GMO project verified", organic and I would avoid any cheese that contains titanium dioxide.
Note: The cheese I used for this recipe contained non gmo soy and some soy is OK to consume but I would avoid eating too much soy-based cheese. Here is a good video about how much soy would be too much:

3. I placed the vegan pizzas in my toaster oven (you may use a regular oven if you don't have a toaster oven) and toasted them at about 480º for 10 mins.
4. Allow to cool for about 3-5 minutes then eat.

What does your gut tell you?

It has been said, “You are what you eat”. For the most part, that is true because what you eat goes into your body’s intestinal tract and all health begins there. What you eat will either contribute to good gut health or bad gut health. The function of your body’s digestive system involves digestion, which is the breakdown of the food you eat and absorption, where your body absorbs that food’s nutrients into the bloodstream. We have poor digestive/colon health due to nutritional deficiency (i.e. what isn't there that should be) and toxicity (i.e. what is in there that should not be). Many people believe that if they don’t have any stomach pain that they have good digestive health. However, the absence of abdominal pain doesn't always mean the absence of poor intestinal health. So how can you know if your intestinal tract is in poor condition?

Steps to make and keep your digestive tract healthy

  1. Address the toxicity problem by properly detoxifying and cleansing your digestive system by doing a raw juice fast or through quality fiber or oxygen based intestinal cleansers.For this I personally recommend Oxypowder.   2. Address the deficiency problem by adopting and maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle. Many have seen positive health changes when they traded in the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.) for a mostly raw, organic, plant-based diet. The ideal diet, which the Creator originally prescribed for mankind in Genesis 1:29 (in the Holy Bible), and which man will never improve upon is a plant-based diet (i.e. no animal products), where we are avoiding all white (processed, unnatural) sugar or table salt and all GMOs (i.e. wheat, soy, corn, and sugar beets), going organic where possible. If you cannot give up animal flesh totally, many find it healthier to severely limit consumption. Remember, all animal sourced foods as well as GMO foods contribute to poor digestive health. Why? Because mankind wasn't originally created with bodies to consume such “food”.
  3. Get more exercise
  4. Avoid packaged foods as much as possible and eat foods as close to their raw natural state
  5. Drink enough purified water as well as fresh raw juice, not store bought which is normally loaded with white/processed sugar and has been cooked (pasteurized). In order to make your own fresh raw juice you will need a quality, slow/masticating juicer which preserves more of the juice’s natural enzymes than a fast/centrifugal one.
  6. When eating cooked food, replenish your body’s natural digestive enzymes by taking a quality raw plant-based enzyme supplement (such as Digest Gold by Enzymedica).
  7. Replenish your friendly gut flora (bacteria) by eating a quality vegan yogurt, nutritional yeast or by taking quality raw prebiotics and probiotics supplements.

(FEATURED RECIPE)

"Zucchini Spaghetti With Basil Avocado Pesto Sauce"

Ingredients:
2-3 Large Organic Zucchini
1 Organic cucumber
9-12 Organic Cherry Tomatoes
2 Ripe Organic Avocados (I used Hass)
1 small bunch of fresh basil leafs
2 cloves of garlic
Juice from 1 lemon
Himalayan Pink Salt to taste
Fresh Pepper to taste or Cayenne
Pepper (optional)
1 Tsp Olive oil (optional)
Note: For this recipe, you will need a spiralizer or a julienne/ mandolin slicer and a food processor. This allows you to create the zucchini "noodles." If you don't have one of these you can get one from Amazon or Target (or most stores) for anywhere between 15-30$, so it is very affordable. Great tool to have. If not, you can use Organic Brown Rice Pasta or Pasta of your choice (preferably organic) and have it with the Pesto Sauce.

Directions/process








1. After you wash your veggies, spiralize your zucchini and leave it on a side.


2. Take the cucumber, peel the skin, and cut the cucumber up in slices, add to food processor.

3. Peel the avocados and add to the food processor.
4. Add lemon juice.
5. Chop up your basil, garlic and add that as well to the food processor.
6. Add your salt, pepper and oils to the food processor.
7. Blend until smooth and there is your pesto!
8. Once that is done, pour the pesto onto the zucchini pasta, and mix.
9. You can chop your cherry tomatoes in half  (or leave them whole if you prefer) and place in dish.
**Something you can add to garnish your dish would be nutritional yeast- (which I personally love!)
