You may be pray fervently and sincerely, but have you ever finished praying and honestly felt dry and uncertain if it really has accomplished anything? Though our heavenly Father loves for us to be specific in our petitions, in our haste to bring our requests to Him we often forget the "thanksgiving” component. Because giving thanks is a form of praise, God dwells where He is being praised (Psa 22:3) and as He does, His presence will bring the refreshing peace and joy you seek.
